Pop star Shakira sings “Imagine there’s no heaven…and no religion, too” in front of “Pope” Francis at a meeting of the United Nations General Assembly. Shakira performed John Lennon’s classic anti-religion anthem during the opening ceremony of the 70th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City on Friday, September 25. She dedicated the song to Aylan and Ghalib Kurdi, two young Syrian boys who drowned fleeing violence in their home country, declaring:

“Our children have the right to equal opportunities, to thrive, to be happy and healthy and safe. Now is the time to not just imagine, but do!”

When a woman asked a Bishop why “Pope” Francis, during his trip to the United States, failed to mention that marriage is between a man and a woman, the Bishop responded that the “Holy Father” wanted to avoid a "negative polemic."

Dr. Dietrich von Hildebrand refutes this intellectual sophistry.  He writes, "Some might be tempted to believe that the rejection of error and falsehood [ and here, again, we are speaking of ideas not persons] is something "negative" and even cult-like....Perhaps never before has there been as much intellectual fraud as there is today. In the mass media - and even in discussions on university campuses - this intellectual fraud appears chiefly as the manipulation of slogans designed to bluff the hearer or reader, and prevent him from thinking clearly. For a typical example, let us consider how the terms positive and negative are now most often used to discredit the refutation of pernicious errors and to give credit to the most shallow speculations. The intellectual swindlers who play such an important role in public discussions will often denominate as 'positive' propositions and attitudes they favor. They thereby seek to forestall questions of truth and value by enveloping their prejudices in a vague suggestion of 'creativity,' 'originality,' 'openness,' 'unaggressiveness.' This is the device of the cuttlefish. The moment one tries to grasp it, it emits a murky substance to confuse and deceive.

In reality, the popular slogan usages of positive and negative is a distortion of the genuine meanings of the terms. In proper usage they can refer to existence and nonexistence or to value and disvalue. They can refer to desirability and undesirability, or to answers to questions and demands, or to results of tests and inquiries. But when these terms are applied to attitudes of mind or to theses - by way of suggesting an evaluation - an intellectual fraud is committed; for they are then being used to evoke vague associations that distract from the question that alone matters - namely: Is this attitude objectively called for? Or: Is this thesis true?...It is the nature of truth to exclude every contradiction of itself. Thus, the rejection of errors and falsehoods can never be separated from the affirmation of truth. The one implies the other...

To give the impression that affirmations are 'positive' and denials 'negative' is to misrepresent completely the nature of judgments and propositions. This abuse of the language transforms the terms positive and negative into deceptive slogans and thus amounts to an intellectual swindle..." (The Charitable Anathema, pp. 45-47).

Si palam res est, repetitio injuria non est: "To say what everybody knows is no injury."

In one of his last homilies, Archbishop Oscar Romero, the martyred Archbishop of San Salvador [whom Francis claims to admire], said: "A preaching that does not point out sin is not the preaching of the gospel. A preaching that makes sinners feel good so that they become entrenched in their sinful state, betrays the gospel's call. A preaching that does not discomfit sinners but lulls them in their sin leaves Zebulun and Naphtali in the shadow of death. A preaching that awakens, a preaching that enlightens -- as when a light turned on awakens and of course annoys a sleeper -- that is the preaching of Christ, calling, "wake up! Be converted!" this is the church's authentic preaching. Naturally, such preaching must meet conflict, must spoil what is miscalled prestige, must disturb, must be persecuted. It cannot get along with the powers of darkness and sin."

Francis has to decide whether he wants to please men or serve Christ (Galatians 1: 10).  I believe he has already decided.

The conspiracy to get rid of Pope Benedict XVI: Proximate preparation for Antichrist

Our Lady of La Salette, September 19, 1846:
"Rome will lose the Faith and become the seat of the antichrist...The Church will be in eclipse."

By  Paul Anthony Melanson

From Robert Spencer on the conspiracy to remove Pope Benedict XVI in order to make the Church more modern - See here.

Antichrist will have an attending Pontiff:

Prophecy of Premol (496)

"..... And here it is that the King of Zion (Pope) along with his cross, with his sceptre and his triple crown, shaking off, on the ruins, the dust of his shoes, hastens to flee towards other shores. And is it not so, 0 Lord, that Your Church is rent asunder by her own children?

The sons of Zion are divided into two camps; one faithful to the fugitive Pontiff, and the other inclined or disposed to the government of Zion respecting the Sceptre, but breaking in pieces the triple crown.

"But my spirit wanders and my eyes become obscured at the sight of this terrible cataclysm. But the Spirit said to me, that the man who hopes in God does penance, because the all powerful and merciful God will draw the world out of confusion and a new world will commence. Then the Spirit said to me: 'Here is the beginning of the end of Time which begins!' And I awoke terrified."

The Old Italian prophecy speaks of, "the White Pope and the Black Pope" who shall die during the same night.

Frederick William Faber (died 1863): Antichrist…Many believe in a demonical incarnation—this will not be so—but he will be utterly possessed…His doctrine as apparent contradiction of no religion, yet a new religion…He has an attending pontiff, so separating regal and prophetic office (Edward. Prophecy for Today. Imprimatur + A.J. Willinger, Bishop of Monterey-Fresno; Reprint: Tan Books and Publishers, Rockford (IL), 1984, p. 87).

Our Lady of La Salette, September 19, 1846: "Rome will lose the Faith and become the seat of the antichrist...The Church will be in eclipse."

Anna-Katarina Emmerick (19th century): The Church is in great danger…The Protestant doctrine and that of the schismatic Greeks are to spread everywhere. I now see that in this place (Rome) the (Catholic) Church is being so cleverly undermined, that there hardly remain a hundred or so priests who have not been deceived. They all work for the destruction, even the clergy. A great destruction is now at hand…I saw that many pastors allowed themselves to be taken up with ideas that were dangerous to the Church. They were building a great, strange, and extravagant Church. Everyone was admitted in it in order to be united and to have equal rights: Evangelicals, Catholics, sects of every description. Such was to be the new Church…I saw again a new and odd-looking Church which they were trying to build. There was nothing holy about it… (Dupont Y. Catholic Prophecy: The Coming Chastisement. TAN Books, Rockford (IL), 1973, pp. 66, 71, 116)

Yves Dupont {writer interpreting A. Emmerick}: They wanted to make a new Church, a Church of human manufacture, but God had other designs…An anti-pope shall be set up in Rome (Dupont, p. 116).

Oba Prophecy: It will come when the Church authorities issue directives to support a new cult, when priests are forbidden to celebrate in any other, when the highest positions in the Church are given to perjurers and hypocrites, when only the renegades are admitted to occupy those positions. (Dupont, p. 115)

Ted and Maureen Flynn (20th century): Catholic prophecy warns us of severe problems facing the papacy in these end times…chaos will be within our midst. An Antipope will seize papal authority…It will be those who hold fast to the truths of the faith who will be labeled as the perpetrators of this horrible schism, according to some visionaries. (Flynn Ted and Maureen. The Thunder of Justice. MaxKol Communications, Inc. Sterling (VA), 1993, p. 255)

Jeanne le Royer (d. 1798): I see that when the Second Coming of Christ approaches a bad priest will do much harm to the Church (Culligan E. The Last World War and the End of Time. The book was blessed by Pope Paul VI, 1966. TAN Books, Rockford (IL), p. 128).

Bl. Anna-Maria Taigi (19th century): At the end, he will have the gift of miracles (Birch DA. Trial, Tribulation & Triumph: Before During and After Antichrist. Queenship Publishing Company, Goleta (CA), 1996, pp. 362-363).

Saint Zenobius (died 285): Antichrist will work a thousand prodigies on earth. (Connor, p. 73)

Priest O’Connor (20th century?): This final false prophet will be a bishop of the church and will lead all religions into becoming one. (The False Prophet. Living in the Final Generation. http://www.geocities.com/rebornempowered/ApparitionsofMary.htm 10/12/07)

Priest Paul Kramer (21st century): The errors of Orthodoxy and of Protestantism will be embraced by that false church, it will be an ecumenical church because the Anti-Pope will be recognized by the world—not by the faithful, but by the world—by the secular world and the secular governments. (Kramer P. The Imminent Chastisement for Not Fulfilling Our Lady’s Request. An edited transcript of a speech given at the Ambassadors of Jesus and Mary Seminar in Glendale, California).

Blessed Joachim (died 1202): Towards the end of the world Antichrist will overthrow the Pope and usurp his See (Connor, p. 76).

St. Francis of Assisi (d. 1226): There will be an uncanonically elected pope who will cause a great Schism, there will be divers thoughts preached which will cause many, even those in the different orders, to doubt, yea even agree with those heretics which will cause My order to divide, then will there be such universal dissentions and persecutions that if these days were not shortened even the elect would be lost (Culleton, p. 130).

Gregory the Great, Pope (d. 604): In those days, near the end…an army of priests and two-thirds of the Christians will join the Schism. (Culleton, R. Gerald. The Reign of Antichrist, p. 122)

Yves Dupont {reader and collector of Catholic prophecies}: “prophecies are quite explicit about the election of an anti-pope…Many prophecies predict an anti-pope and a schism” (Dupont, pp. 34,60-61)

G. Rossi (1873): We must observe that St. Malachy does not mention the last Pope as a distinct person from the preceding one, whom he styles Glory of the Olive. He merely says, “During the last persecution of the Church, Peter II, a Roman, shall reign. He shall feed the flock in many tribulations, at the end of which the City of the Seven Hills (Rome) will be destroyed, and the awful Judge shall judge his people.” According to St. Malachy, then, only ten, or at most eleven, popes remain to be in future more or less legitimately elected. We say more or less legitimately elected, because out of those future popes it is to be feared that one or two will be unlawfully elected as anti-popes. (Rossi, p. 139)

Priest E. Sylvester Berry (20th century) As indicated by the resemblance to a lamb, the prophet will probably set himself up in Rome as a sort of antipope during the vacancy of the papal throne . . .(Berry E.S. The Apocalypse of St. John. First published 1921. http://journals.aol.com/langosh5/Father_E_Sylvester_Berry/ 10/12/07)

Priest Herman Kramer (20th century): In accord with the text this is unmistakably a PAPAL ELECTION . . . But at this time the great powers may take a menacing attitude to hinder the election of the logical and expected candidate by threats of a general apostasy, assassination or imprisonment of this candidate if elected. This would suppose an extremely hostile mind in the governments of Europe towards the Church, because an extended interregnum in the papacy is always disastrous and more so in a time of universal persecution. If Satan would contrive to hinder a papal election, the Church would suffer great travail … one…destined for the papacy at the time will institute the needed reforms. A general council may decree the reforms…The lax clergy at the time will extol the conditions then existing…The dragon is a symbolic term for the evil world powers…They will try to make the Church a “state church” everywhere. This is only possible if they can subject the pope to their wills and compel him to teach and rule as they direct. That would be literally devouring the papacy. (Kramer H.B. L. The Book of Destiny, pp. 278,285).

Bishop Malachy (12th century): During the persecution of the Holy Roman Church, there will sit upon the throne, Peter the Roman…the City of Seven Hills (Rome) will be utterly destroyed (Culleton, R. Gerald. The Prophets and Our Times. Nihil Obstat: L. Arvin. Imprimatur: Philip G. Scher, Bishop of Monterey-Fresno, November 15, 1941. Reprint 1974, TAN Books, Rockford (IL), p. 138).

We are witnessing the gradual emergence of a new humanitarian religion which proposes man, instead of God, as the object of worship. This "religion for progress," as Teilhard de Chardin referred to it, is anti-supernatural. Robert Hugh Benson describes it in his classic "The Lord of the World" thus:

"Humanitarianism...is becoming the an actual religion itself, though anti-supernatural. It is a Pantheism. Pantheism deifies all nature, God is the world, but naturally, man above all is God since he is the highest expression of nature. It is a religion devoid of the 'super' natural, because since God is nature itself, there is no longer a distinction between Creator and creature. The creature is God and hence arbitrator of his own destiny and establishes the moral law for himself. Nature, and man is its highest expression, has all the divine attributes. Humanitarianism is a religion devoid of the supernatural. It is developing a ritual under Freemasonry; it has a creed, 'God is man'; and the rest. It has, therefore, a real food of a sort to offer religious cravings: it idealizes, and yet makes no demands upon the spiritual faculties. Then, they have the use of all the churches except ours, and of all the Cathedrals; and they are beginning at last to encourage sentiment. Then they may display their symbols and we may not..."

Marxism was an expression of the humanitarian religion. It worshipped society and the state symbols of the party: Lenin, Stalin and Mao. National Socialism deified the state and its Fuhrer Adolph Hitler. Today the United States is moving toward Socialism and that "..supreme religious deception..that of the Antichrist, a pseudo-messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of his Messiah come in the flesh." (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 675). (Note: this “Catechism” was written by both good and bad men, so both good and bad elements are contained therein).

Albert Drexel, in Ein Neuer Prophet? (Stein am Rhein: Christiana, 1971) explains that: "The modernism or neo-modernism within Christianity, and especially within the Roman Catholic Church after the Second Vatican Council, is above all characterized by a turning away from the supernatural and an exclusive predilection for this world, the Aggiornamento of Pope John XXIII interpreted one-sidedly and hence misapplied. Teilhard's ideology was a definitive precondition for this. Inasmuch as he turned his back to the past, fused God and the supernatural with the process of a universal evolutionism, and proclaimed religion to be an active participation in a progressive development ending in Point Omega, the basis was given for a humanist cult of the secular." (p. 115).

In the New World Order, man will no longer believe in a God whom he cannot control. Man will worship himself and his new leader who will, like Hitler, be deified: the man spoken of by Saint Paul as the Man of Sin, the Son of Perdition. This world ruler will not tolerate anyone who adores any god other than himself. As Romano Guardini has noted, "The ultimate aim of all aims will be to prove that existence without Christ is possible - nay rather, that Christ is the enemy of existence, which can be fully realized only when all Christian values have been destroyed.." (The Lord, p. 513).

Pray to the Immaculata. The Man of Sin will soon reveal himself.  And his False Prophet will be there to welcome him with open arms as will the United Nations.

Father Paul Kramer posted the following about two weeks ago:

Father Paul Kramer
“The thing that really makes my mouth drop is the incredible lack of foresight on the part of semi-trad indult types. They watch the great pendulum swing in one direction for so long, that they are clueless that it is about to change direction (and smack them in the back of their heads).

“The great schism & apostasy will be triggered by events that will begin next month. The pope (not Jorge) will reverse the direction of the Church when it will be almost too late; while Jorge's Newchurch will stampede into full blown apostasy. I knew this was coming 40 years ago from Catholic prophecy, and I see it unfolding now. No true Catholic, no matter how ignorant, will identify with Jorge's Newchurch, which will be as outlandish as the most liberal of Anglican fringe communities. The majority of bishops & priests will go along and follow their leader into apostasy.

“My only question is that when the apostasy is consummated, will all these pseudo-trads still feel the need to be in communion with (apostate) "Rome"? Will they still think their leader is (as one of them calls him), "a silly man", but still the "pope"? Or will the penny finally drop, so that they will be able to see plainly that their "Holy Father" is not a "silly man", but a ravenous wolf. If they still refuse to admit the obvious, even after their "silly" "Holy Father" destroys the last vestiges of the Catholicism of tradition, then these pseudo-trads will have become pseudo-Catholics -- and apostates as well.

“The Third Secret of Fatima reveals, as Cardinal Ciappi wrote, "[T]he great apostasy in the Church will begin at the top." The Secret speaks of a "pope" who will be under the power of the devil. John XXIII read the text, and then had it translated into Italian by Mons. Tavares. He had understood the difficult passage correctly. John Paul II read the Secret, and the same difficult expression confronted him -- so he had Mons. Carreira translate it again. A wrong interpretation of the difficult passage would appear to contradict the dogma of the indefectibility of the Church. However, Mons. Tavares had indeed translated it correctly. There was no escaping the problematic expression.

“Now that the Secret is being fulfilled in real time, as the invalidly elected "Pope Francis" leads the stampede into apostasy, many who are knowledgeable about the message of Fatima blindly insist that Bergoglio is the pope, and that Catholics must remain in communion with him -- in spite of the fact that his words and actions demonstrate him to be an apostate infidel. Yet the great apostasy in the Church is foretold in the Secret of Fatima; but many authors on Fatima blindly deny that the apostasy led from the top is even happening -- the blind leading the blind into the pit.

Judy Meissner, a professor of psychology, made the following interesting observations on Francis’ last week speech before the Congress in the United States:

“ISSUES COVERED IN FRANCIS' SPEECH BEFORE CONGRESS (In numbers):

“Number of times Francis referred to himself: 43
Number of times Francis attacked the death penalty:
 2
Number of times Francis condemned the Christian Holocaust in the Middle East: ZERO!
Number of times Francis condemned the crime of abortion: ZERO!
Number of times Francis condemned the crime of adoption of abandoned and orphaned by homosexuals: ZERO!
Number of times Francis mentioned Marriage as the union of a husband and a wife: ZERO!

“Now for the REAL CLINCHER: Number of times Francis mentioned Jesus Christ: ZERO! Whose Vicar is he? Am I missing something?”

“The Pope” began his speech this way: "I am most grateful for your invitation to address this Joint Session of Congress in 'the land of the free and the home of the brave.'”

By referring to the Americans as “the free”, “the pope” was giving his nod of approval to their atheistic democracy. But of course, America is not a free land and Americans are in no way free people, because freedom is not a natural endowment for every human being but something to be won by the acceptance of truth (John 8: 32). On the contrary, Americans, with the exception of those who faithfully believe in Christ and are ready to face the consequences of their Faith, are slaves, and their fatherland—though unknown to them—has equally become the land of slaves. A society where any kind of nonsense (such as gay “marriage”, abortion and the rest) is not only acceptable but also “lawful”, is not a free society at all but a society massively enslaved by the devil! “The Pope” was aware of all the evils in this unfortunate land, yet he never mentioned any let alone attacked them.

As Father Paul Kramer rightly stated, false conservatives—even many who are fully aware of Catholic prophecies about what is going on currently—blindly and cowardly acknowledge Jorge Bergoglio as pope even though the man is daily proving to them through his words and actions that the contrary is actually the case. False traditionalists viewed the prospect of “the pope”’s visit with a mixture of hope and trepidation: hope, because the visit would force heavy media coverage of religious issues; trepidation, because of Bergoglio’s mixed record on issues ranging from climate change to illegal immigration. However, here are just a few ways in which “the Pope” insulted them during his visit, as partly observed by Ben Shapiro in his piece ‘Seven Ways Pope Francis Slapped Conservatives in the United States’:
  • Allowing President Obama to Represent Himself as An Advocate of Religious Liberty
On Wednesday, while speaking at the White House, President Obama said, "Here in the United States, we cherish religious liberty...[The United States] stand[s] with you in defence of religious freedom and interfaith dialogue, knowing that people everywhere must be able to live out their faith free from fear and intimidation". (Note that the novel idea of religious liberty is simply anti-Catholic. See this: http://sspx.org/en/religious-liberty-contradicts-tradition).

Meanwhile, President Obama’s IRS cracks down on religious charities and his Obamacare regime targets religious institutions; his administration looks into persecuting religious Americans for failing to participate in same-sex weddings. A well-timed comment from the “Pope” could have been useful here! Instead, Bergoglio stood by and said nothing, absolutely nothing! Rather, he went to visit the Little Sisters of the Poor—and the media ignored it. The “Pope” knows full well when the cameras are on him. They were on him with Obama. They weren’t during his side jaunt to visit those victimized by the President!
  • Ripping Capitalism Before Congress
Speaking before Congress, “the Pope” spent an inordinate amount of time lecturing legislators on the need to redistribute wealth in the name of the poor. He praised Dorothy Day, a Catholic organizer who once wrote, “We need to overthrow, not the government, as the authorities are always accusing the Communists ‘of conspiring to teach [us] to do,’ but this rotten, decadent, putrid industrial capitalist system which breeds such suffering in the whited sepulcher of New York.” …And no socialist has come up with a better formulation of the rhetorical slight-of-hand that equates individual liberty with collectivism than “the Pope” did before Congress:

“If politics must truly be at the service of the human person, it follows that it cannot be a slave to the economy and finance. Politics is, instead, an expression of our compelling need to live as one, in order to build as one the greatest common good: that of a community which sacrifices particular interests in order to share, in justice and peace, its goods, its interests, its social life. I do not underestimate the difficulty that this involves, but I encourage you in this effort.”

“The Pope” has long excoriated capitalism as a brutal system of exploitation, says Shapiro. To the celebration of leftists everywhere, “the Pope” has repeatedly dismissed capitalism as immoral, saying there is no evidence that capitalism brings about “greater justice and inclusiveness in the world.” This is true if you know nothing about world history or economics. “The Pope”’s excoriation of free markets in the United States came as no surprise, but it came as an unwelcome slap nonetheless.

Calling on government to help the environment, “the pope” said:

"I am convinced that we can make a difference and I have no doubt that the United States—and this Congress—have an important role to play. Now is the time for courageous actions and strategies, aimed at implementing a 'culture of care' and 'an integrated approach to combating poverty, restoring dignity to the excluded, and at the same time protecting nature.'”

As Fr. Vincent Miceli, S.J., explained in his essay on Call to Action entitled “Detroit: A Call to Revolution in the Church”: “The following are some of the demands the Church simply cannot fulfill for such is not her mission: 1. Wipe out poverty, ignorance, prejudice and war. 2. Democratize the whole world. 3. Stop the sale of arms everywhere. 4. Back the E.R.A. as a constitutional amendment. Like her Saviour, the Church will not turn stones into bread, thereby becoming the Mother of Socialism or a millennium of this world..’

"..the 'theologies of liberation', which reserve credit for restoring to a place of honor the great texts of the prophets and of the Gospel in defense of the poor, go on to a disastrous confusion between the 'poor' of the Scripture and the 'proletariat' of Marx. In this way they pervert the Christian meaning of the poor, and they transform the fight for the rights of the poor into a class fight within the ideological perspective of the class struggle. For them the 'Church of the poor' signifies the Church of the class which has become aware of the requirements of the revolutionary struggle as a step toward liberation and which celebrates this liberation in its liturgy." (Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, "Instruction on Certain Aspects of the 'Theology of Liberation,'" No. 10).

Paul Anthony Melanson, who quoted the above document, writes: “The supernatural faith of Catholicism is being watered down for the sake of a new humanitarian religion. Dialogue is key for this new religion which has abandoned the notion that we must, "Let love be without dissimulation. Hating that which is evil, cleaving to that which is good." (Romans 12: 29).
  • Pushing Environmental Extremism
“The Pope” spent a significant amount of time before Congress talking about climate change and encouraging Congress to restrict American economic growth to fight that chimera. But at the United Nations, he really let loose, suggesting that the environment has “rights”—an argument unfamiliar to many readers of the Bible! People may have obligations toward the environment, but the environment has no freestanding “rights” from humanity; God does not weep when a tree is used for lumber to house a poor family. This logic, says Shapiro, leads to the Malthusian anti-humanism of the deep green left.

“The Pope” then tied his view of environmental rights to his desire for global redistribution of income in the name of the poor, and suggested that governments must guarantee “lodging, labour, and land” to the poor. How? Presumably by taking resources away from some and handing them to others. This reeks of Marxism, pure and simple. “The Pope” then added that “the large-scale destruction of biodiversity can threaten the very existence of the human species.” Now, I like whales as much as the next fellow, but zero humans will die if the blue whale goes extinct, unless the aliens come back to communicate with them (see Star Trek IV for more information on this possibility). “The Pope” even suggested that war was bad because it was a “dramatic assault on the environment.” War, human trafficking, exploitation, and environmental degradation are bad if they hurt human beings. War is not bad primarily because it harms trees and squirrels.
  • Ignoring Abortion, Talking Death Penalty
“The Pope” said nothing about abortion before President Obama. Then, while speaking before Democrats in Congress who support federal funding for abortion machine Planned Parenthood, he said that all human life must be treated with respect—and proceeded quickly to glide right over the abortion issue entirely, settling on the death penalty instead! 35 murderers, noted Shapiro, were executed in 2014 in the United States, while one million unborn children were killed!
  • Warning about fundamentalism
"Our world is increasingly a place of violent conflict, hatred and brutal atrocities, committed even in the name of God and of religion. We know that no religion is immune from forms of individual delusion or ideological extremism. This means that we must be especially attentive to every type of fundamentalism, whether religious or of any other kind.”

Many false conservatives (with the exception of a few) of course can hardly understand what the apostate implies here by “religious fundamentalism”. Put simply, he is referring to anyone who really takes his region seriously—for instance, a devout Catholic who believes he has a duty of converting non-Catholics to the Catholic Faith. (Catholics who do this are even now put in the same category as, for instance, Muslim suicide bombers!). See more here: http://www.nowtheendbegins.com/blog/?p=23850
  • Ignoring Same-Sex “Marriage”
“The Pope” “encouraged” marriage in his speech before Congress, and talked vaguely of the value of family. He complained of threats to the family. But he said nothing about what those threats were!—with the very Supreme Court that declared itself above God in terms of defining marriage sitting right in front of him!

“The Pope”’s visit could have been an incredible opportunity to fight against Godless immorality in the United States. Instead, “the Pope” largely used the opportunity to push leftism slathered over with paper-thin theology. That’s a tragic loss for both the world and for the religious community fighting for survival against the onslaught of an increasingly aggressive secular left—a secular left that cheered the Pope but will be happy to either coopt or crush his church at the first available opportunity.
  • Famous Homosexual Serves as Lector During NYC “Mass”
Meanwhile, a scandal erupted in the Big Apple on Friday,  September 25, after a “Papal Mass” at Madison Square Garden, where a famous open homosexual served as lector during “Pope” Francis' “Mass”.

Mo Rocca, an American comedian, actor and journalist, well known for his role on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and now a commentator for CBS, admitted his homosexuality during a podcast interview in 2011.

The then 42-year-old Rocca spoke of his joy at being in New York at the site of the Stonewall Riots

Rocca said, "You gotta' be there for a piece of history like that. ... [It] was very memorable and emotional and a great place to be."

After publicly announcing his homosexuality and support for gay "marriage," because of his fame Rocca quickly skyrocketed in popularity among LGBT activist circles.

When Rocca appeared on live news feeds as the lector for the "Papal Mass", Twitter blew up with scandalous praise as everyone saw this as the "Church"'s — and specifically "Pope" Francis'—official acceptance of homosexuality and gay “marriage”, the puzzling (to many)  Who am I to Judge” now well demonstrated.

African bishops’ denouncing of the West’s anti-family agenda as a ‘new slavery’…reservations

The United Nations Headquarters in New York City

By Jonathan Ekene Ifeanyi

48 African bishops and ten cardinals have released a letter demanding that western powers stop pushing their “filthy campaigns that promote a civilization of death on our continent” under the guise of humanitarian aid.

The declaration was written in June but has just been released for publication in anticipation of both the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit 2015 and October’s Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops on the Family. It is addressed to The Secretary General of the United Nations, the heads of states and governments with whom African countries have agreements, the "officials of pan-African institutions," the "officials of International Organizations," to "partners in global governance and development donors," and "to the sons and daughters of our beloved African continent."

The "Common Declaration of the Bishops of Africa and Madagascar" warns of a “terrifying resurgence of a colonialist spirit” disguised as liberty. The pastors highlight the attempt to import contraception, abortion and new theories about gender to Africa by groups working as humanitarian organizations.

The bishops specifically name the Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights (better known as the Maputo Protocol), adopted by the African Union in 2003 and implemented in 2005, the Addis-Ababa Declaration on Population and Development in Africa beyond 2014, and the about-to-be-adopted Sustainable Development Goals — that they say only destroy the African family unit through their promotion of contraception, abortion, and sex-ed bereft of morals. The Maputo Protocol calls for, among other things, women's right to contraception and abortion. "What right do western NGOs [non-governmental organizations], who only represent their own ideological interests, claim to legally bind African states to their world vision?" the bishops ask. "Why such a programming and will to pollute and pervert, extending through the African continent?"

“These documents, even though they appear, in their external presentation and formulation, to procure elements of well-being and prosperity for all, are in reality real programmes of destruction of the poor and humanity’s values, and not of a development that would respect the dignity and sacredness of the human person and the well-being of the family, when they integrate, often in hidden ways, the agenda of the western sexual revolution.”

"This is a new type of slavery!" the declaration goes on. "We want the dignity of our people to be respected. No! Africa is not a great potential market for the pharmaceutical industry of contraceptives and condoms. Yes! Africa is populated by men, women and children endowed with a transcendent dignity and eternal vocation."

Signed by the 45 African bishops and representing 40 countries, ten cardinals and three African bishops inside the Vatican, the statement is strong in its language of warning to Western organizations who do work for and in Africa. “It can no longer be denied that under the euphemism of ‘sexual and reproductive health and rights,’ such programmes are plainly imposed as a condition for development assistance,” it reads.

The declaration also reads in part:

“We are all wounded in the depths of our hearts as Pastors by the attacks against life, the family, all that is sacred, the healthy human development of our youth who are the future of Africa, the full blossoming of women and respect for our elderly – realities of which our African cultures have such a keen sense. Selfish and perverse interests are imposing themselves on our continent with a speed that keeps on accelerating, with unabated aggressiveness, in an ever more organized and powerfully financed manner, introducing individualism and hedonism, both of which are so foreign to what we are and want to be, into our societies.

“We therefore implore you to end the filthy campaigns that promote a civilization of death on our continent. This has to do with a terrifying resurgence of a colonialist spirit under the guise of the appealing names of liberty, equality, rights, autonomy, democratization and development. Condoms, contraceptives, sex education programmes fabricated elsewhere, purely technical and deprived of moral content, so-called “safe abortions”, have become commodities that are more accessible to Africans than the way of delivering integral development, of which we have such a vital need.

“It can no longer be denied that under the euphemism of “sexual and reproductive health and rights”, such programmes are plainly imposed as a condition for development assistance. Such is also the case of the so-called “gender perspective,” according to which motherhood, the filial and nuptial identity of the human being and the family based on marriage between a man and a woman would be “discriminatory stereotypes.” No! Women and men in Africa are not mere individuals, autonomous from their parents, spouses, children: women, men, children, we are all persons, created out of love and for love, and we all belong to a family and a community, vitally, ontologically and emotionally united!

“Africans are becoming aware of the ongoing manipulation. Africa is not developing in harmony with her soul. The agents of the civilization of death are using ambivalent language, seducing decision-makers and entire populations, in order to make them partners in the pursuit of their ideological objectives. They are co-opting a great many in partnerships of which they are, in reality, the masters. They take advantage of poverty, weakness and ignorance in order to subject peoples and governments to their blackmail.

“The State and international organizations are bound to respect that which all men and women can recognize as real, true, and good in their conscience and in their heart. They are bound to honour the transcendence, centrality and superiority in value of the family founded on marriage between a man and a woman, of maternity and life, and of religion. They are bound to serve the people as they are and want to be, rooted in a rich diversity of cultures. May development policies radically change direction in this sense!”

The prelates beg all Africans, including heads of states and governments, to make a strong stand for the good of their continent.

“Wake up your conscience! Remember that every human person will have to render an account of their actions before God.”

“Our wishes, our desire, our prayer, our pastoral labours are that in this era of globalization, Africa will today offer humanity its unique and irreplaceable contribution, according to the gifts she has received from God and are properly hers,” the letter concludes.

While we commend these bishops at least for their courage to say NO to the evil agenda of the United Nations, we must not, however, be deceived by this so-called “condemnation” which has nothing to do with what the church is really saying on the matter. These bishops, it must be noted, are not condemning the vices from the perspective of what the Catholic Church teaches but rather from the perspective of what their African culture “abhors”! Carefully notice their primary concern, which is not in any way to condemn all the vices mentioned as simply anti-Catholic, or anti-Christian, but only as anti-African!—you know, a “terrifying resurgence of a colonialist spirit”! The majority of African intellectuals—the clergy among them—include early Christian missionaries among these “colonialists”! So we ask: What is actually wrong with “colonialism”? Without colonialism, would Africa have seen the light in the first place? At a point the bishops even appeal to “pope” Francis! “We Africans must categorically say ‘No’ to this plan, which is killing our continent. Pope Francis exhorts us to ‘be on guard against colonization by new ideologies. There are forms of ideological colonization which are out to destroy the family,” the letter states.

Of course, they are speaking from the perspective of the evil Vatican II Council, for which Catholic Christianity is simply nothing else than a cultural phenomenon of the past—not a vital repository of public values—and for which every so-called human “value”, or human culture, pagan or not, is simply good! The Council states: "Common human values not infrequently call for cooperation between Christians pursuing apostolic aims and those who do not profess Christ's name but acknowledge these values" (AA §27). Thus: "By this dynamic and prudent cooperation..., which is of special importance in temporal activities, the laity bear witness to Christ, the Saviour of the world, as well as to the unity of the human family"(ibid).

So, authentic Catholic Christian values are now viewed as a function of “human values”, which are therefore superior to them: in fact, these are the human values which permit the unity of the "human family" so dear to the Council! It is from this angle that the bishops are speaking! They are merely defending their “African values”—and never the authentic Catholic Christian values!

The very first “magisterial” document to make mention of the religious traditions of African peoples, and in a positive light for that matter, is Africae Terrarum of Paul VI, issued on October 29, 1967. In this document Paul VI made the following unprecedented statement:

“Many customs and rites, once considered to be strange are seen today, in the light of ethnological science, as integral parts of various social systems, worthy of study and commanding respect. In this regard, we think it profitable to dwell on some general ideas which typify ancient African religious cultures because we think their moral and religious values deserving of attentive consideration.”  And he is here referring to pure African paganism!

Again, Vatican II:

“Religious institutes, working to plant the Church, thoroughly imbued with mystic treasures with which the Church's religious tradition is adorned, should strive to give expression to them and to hand them on, according to the nature and the genius of each nation. Let them reflect attentively on how Christian religious life might be able to assimilate the ascetic and contemplative traditions, whose seeds were sometimes planted by God in ancient cultures already prior to the preaching of the Gospel.” (AG §18).

One would like to know what these "ascetic and contemplative traditions" "whose seeds were sometimes planted by God in ancient [pagan] cultures" are. This is the same error contained in Lumen Gentium §8, which speaks of "elements of salvation" outside the Church, not only those within the "separated brethren" but also in the pagan religions.

And why speaking as African bishops rather than simply as Roman Catholic bishops? Or at least as African Roman Catholic bishops? Again, the anti-Catholic Vatican II has the answer:  “But in order that the missionary activity of the bishops may be exercised more effectively for the good of the whole Church, it would be expedient for the episcopal conferences to take charge of those affairs which concern the orderly cooperation of their own region. In their own conference, the bishops should deliberate about..." (AG §38)

Following this passage is a rather long list of matters reserved to the bishops' competence, carried out without any control on the part of the Holy See! This is the perspective from which the present “condemnation” is coming! Far from really trying to uphold the Church’s teachings, the bishops are merely displaying their cultural pride; they are demonstrating to the world how “rich” their culture is—you know, a very rich culture which, unlike that of the west, forbids abortion, homosexuality, and other similar vices; they are merely reacting to men like German impostor and apostate, Cardinal Walter Kasper, who said last year that African bishops “should not tell us too much what we have to do” and admitted that they are not being listened to at the Vatican’s evil Synod as it takes up matters including homosexuality, divorce, remarriage, and family life. The false impression they give in the process is that these vices—homosexuality, divorce, remarriage, etc.—are  now parts of Western culture that shouldn’t be imported into Africa. This is not true. On the contrary, Western culture, which is originally Christian, is simply anti-homosexuality, anti-divorce,  and other similar vices—the problem in the West being that while Christians have for long been deeply asleep, a few evil men inspired by the devil have taken over their governments and other institutions and hence imposed this culture of death on the rest of the people. The truth is that in Africa there are also so many who indulge in the vices of homosexuality, divorce and the restjust like the Westerners themselveswhile at the same time there are also many Westerners (still retaining their Christian consciences) who simply abhor and anathematize the vices. What “values” do these bishops really think that Africa has that weren’t inherited from the West—that is to say, from Catholic religion? On the contrary, African culture, divorced from the penetrating light of the gospel, of Catholic religion, is simply evil—an evil which the early European Catholic missionaries—the same Westerners—dispelled from the African land long ago but which—unfortunately—the New Church is now importing back into the continent once again.

Saint Augustine, the great philosopher and theologian, teaches in his spiritual insight that Catholic religion is simply the whole earth—a religion which traces its root back to Abel. In the same vein, late Jesuit priest, Father John Hardon, writes (in his book The Catholic Catechism, London: Geoffrey Chapman, n. d, p. 218): “…catholicity also means unity amidst diversity, on several counts. The Church has never been a respecter of persons. Poor and rich alike, the learned and unlearned are equally welcome. All cultures and every stratum of society belongs to the Church, and where this is not verified, the fault lies with those who have failed to combine “both the universality of the Church and the diversity of the world’s nations” in their preaching of the gospel”.
